What is "faithful"?: TOY STORY 3 in good company

I waited a long time for this moment. I think that since my sister told me she was pregnant, I dreamed of the day share a movie with my nephew. Finally, came nearly three years later ... and what better movie to share that Toy Story 3 !

This marvel of film allowed the two, aunt and nephew, could enjoy the same level, in the same film. I am not referring to the fact that the movie had scenes with winks to the adults and physical gags for the kids at all. We've talked in this blog that make use of new animated films such references and conquer betting that for adults. Toy Story has nothing of this in any of the 3 films, fortunately. Despite all the magic and technology, Pixar, this movie works without tricks.

As we noted in another article, Toy Story 3 has hit in all the elements that usually make up a movie, why is everybody excited to tears, get me to the story, marvel at the pictures yet, get my nephew from catching something from every scene , amazed by the color look and movement of the characters and want to repeat the next day. This combination is perfect and results that you really can share a movie with a guy, creating a beautiful moment for both.

I was always too demanding on the environment when watching a movie. And is wrote on the blog about things that bother us in the cinema. In general, I hate talking during the film, ask me things to eat around me, interrupting the projection ... all bah! But this time I was happy to answer the 80 questions that had him in every scene: what is a Cowboy? What do you call the cowboy? Who is he that is not a cowboy? What do you call the baby? What is Bonnie? Where are leaking? Where is Bonnie? Where did the garbage truck? The trash! (Yeah, yeah, every now and then answered himself) why he cries the Princess (Barbie)? Who went down the elevator? What is hacieno the baby? Who is rocking? Where do you run the cowboy? Does that dog is going to speak? WHAT IS TRUE?

latter kill me How do you explain that? The film makes it clear what is loyalty ... be a matter of seeing a couple of times.

How To Make Your Legs Shiny

If you look closely, you may not get bored with beauty ...

Talking Cinema is one of my favorite activities. People who know me is to film buffs, so usually I take the subject. I lose no opportunity for a conversation to flow in that direction.

At this time, I have more film talks yet. Oscars are coming and everyone amused comment on the strengths and weaknesses of the leading nominees.

The talks are very rich and mixed everything from simple opinions, preferences, resources and analysis of cinematic techniques, and even ideological positions.

On the other hand, I have to admit that many times in the film talks about some comments and misconceptions arise that complicate the exchange of views.

Van
some comments more common than my hair stand on end in my cinephile obsession:

"The film is slow. Nothing ever happens "
This comment is a classic. I think it deserves a separate post. What does that mean? It seems that many people associate "slowness" issues as the absence of decisive events in the plot, the use of long shots, the camera still, non-explanation of the conflicts of the characters and the resolution, or directly to the absence of themselves. It is as if the frenetic editing, the camera moving las vueltas y vueltas en la trama hacen a una película más “llevadera” o entretenida.

"For mail messages is" said one day the great Alfred Hitchcock. Very true. We agree that art is expression, and a film can present a particular view about the world. But that does not mean that films have to be giving messages and life lessons to people. There is a huge difference between saying something about an issue and get online to tell people what to think.

"But it's a true story!"
is amazing the charge of a film it is presented as "based on a true story." Amazing stories become even more incredible when people know that everything is looking really happened. Beyond the impact, this should not mean anything cinematically.
On one side are people who believe that absolutely everything that happened that way show with background music and everything. The problem is greater when people, instead of focusing on the story, discusses whether things happened as the film says, when the vast majority of cases does not matter and the fact of reality is simply an excuse to tell a story. Clearly, if the film is a historical issue known to all, and the theme of the movie has to do with what happened in that particular historical moment, things change. I
is delas in most cases, is far more interesting "what might have been" adapted to film language and rhythm that "what really happened" ...

"It's very good photography"
This happens quite often. The audience praised the magnificent picture of a movie which takes place in Tuscany or in the far west, but neither would think that a movie filmed in a rundown industrial city can excel in this field. Good photography does not mean "beautiful scenery." I remember when the girl in the video store gave me a copy just arrived from Lost in Translation. When I told him my idea was to see her in movies, I said it was worth it, he had no good photo ...

"But it is in cartoons. Not for children? "
At this point in the circumstances, with over 15 years Pixar life, this discussion should now be resolved. Miyazaki and I could mention many others who started before, but not necessary. There are dozens of wonderful animated films. Reflect on the most diverse and have the qualities prized by people of all ages. Unfortunately, there are still people who rejected and taken somewhat seriously because a film is animated and its main audience is children. That attitude is almost like the guys underestimated.
's the same with comedy. Many people do not believe that a comedy can be a great movie, or you can play more serious subjects awake and deeper than any drama.

"is old and black and white! Have to be boring "
This directly is a prejudice without any foundation. I can cite dozens of films of the decade of 30 and 40 which are more modern, awake and entertaining romantic comedy any day.

Beyond these lines, est to clear that all opinions are Alida v and interesting debate, but I think you can find much wealth in the analysis and enjoy the movies if these preconceptions crumble ..

Well, there are some more ideas that I wake up these reflections, as something that if a film is time, we are dealing with "quality cinema" or "the end does not leave me anything," but I think that is enough for today.

CDC: THE TRIPLETS OF BELLEVILLE

Music, sounds and forms distorted and combined in almost perfect harmony to tell a simple story. The post

Fito prejudiced comments on films, discusses the issue of message history and ways to tell the language of cinema. In my opinion, The Triplets of Belleville there is much to learn about the uses of form and sound to tell you something.

While this is not a great story is a tale that comes to entertain and soften over the film. This story also serves as a gallery for a series of amusing characters as: a grandmother raising her grandson and accompanies him under any circumstances in his training as a cyclist, a cyclist tenacious, the faithful family dog, very intelligent kidnappers and, of course, the famous and eternal triplets.

and digging a way of reporting on this, I think see something in The Triplets of Belleville , which I mentioned on other great films and having to do with it to talk about himself or the film's story has a connection form. I'll try to explain better ...

In one scene, the triplets began playing jazz with a refrigerator, a table, chairs, among other things. They are not appliances or furniture for your kitchen, but instruments. No matter how rational and common sense that society has a refrigerator, but rather what they can create with the same engine. When playing, there is a distortion of the supposedly real from the refrigerator, to see something else as a musical instrument. Similarly, Director of the film, you do not see how they should actually be people and their figures or how they should be the sounds of breathing or rain, but prefers somewhat distort your senses to get away from the conventions and create something new, on the occasion to emphasize a point, say something or just to make it funny or cute.

Thus, we have all sorts of imbalances in the drawings, human figures, sounds, music. Not only that, but I am convinced that each of these distortions is a function of what they have to say. The kidnappers are square, solid, rigid and dark, while the grandmother is soft and folded. The twins of the rider's legs are exaggerated as has been seen in human form, the dog has awkward shapes. It all makes sense in this story. The forms are in perfect harmony with the history and what we want to highlight each character (strength, kindness, effort, clumsiness, etc.) And in addition, choose a particular way of telling. In The Triplets the director calls on all our senses. The leadership did not have the words or verbal. Might as well to speak in French or Chinese. You do not need many words when there are other elements to tell the same thing and a so original.

Good days grandchildren! GOOD DAY, DAY: documentary Miguel Abuelo

was hoped that the life of a guy as unique as intersante Miguel Abuelo was portrayed in the film, although, paradoxically, this documentary was swift enough. Perhaps

needed to pass the time for his followers to reclaim, so that his son was big enough to go in search of answers about her life, so that those who did not see it live we had wanted to meet the story told by its protagonists. Had to wait for nostalgia grandparents transformed into a beautiful story to their grandchildren grow a bit and maybe stop being parents and grandchildren to be wanting to have some of that was, but still.

The documentary "Good morning, day," traces the life of Miguel Abuelo, including his years in Europe and the various formations of Los Abuelos de la Nada. Despite not having much filmed record of his protagonist, interviews or live performances (especially from the '70s), the film is the gleanings to recreate not only the moments about the speaker, but also to reflect and transmit creativity and multiplicity of characters that one person embodied.

As with any biographical documentary, there are plenty of interviews with those who were close him during his lifetime. However, there is no excess foreign stories ... no need ... there is much enjoyed by the multitude of letters written left Miguel Abuelo and these are aesthetic enough to complete what the film wants to show.

are 90 mintues to enjoy while saying "uh! What a good theme ..." when it starts to sound one of them. An hour and a bit more to cool in such madness, creativity and love of freedom. A time to remember the lyrics of their songs and pick your favorite.

Labeled Parts Of The Engine

THE SCENE THAT MORE ... HATE - COCA IN THE VEINS (PEARL HARBOR)

By Sabri Osowski to "I think we're not in Kansas ..."

The old rock'n'roll said "If you want to be an important guy, to talk all day about you, or want inmortalizarte as a hero, a murderer and semi-god. You must have: cold tomato juice, tomato juice cold in the veins, veins must have. "

However, according to Pearl Harbor (Michael Bay, 2001) seems that if what you want is to throw "The Bomb" on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which you have to have in your veins is not cold tomato juice, but Coca-Cola.

The Japs just bombed Pearl Harbor. A true slaughter that Michael Bay portrays sparing in morbidity, patriotism, heroism and dignity to the hour of battle and death. So far nothing very different from the typical Yankee spirit: they are always these warring elements in the narratives of those who inhabit the north of this America. But it does not end there: the heroes of this story (Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett) are ready for anything, not only fighting but also aguerridamente are united and committed delivery until the last drop of his blood.

The hospital scene is bleak: hordes of zombies seem Marines dying while she (Kate Beckinsale), the protagonist manages to love and serve them efficiently, without losing their femininity and tenderness . Lack of resources does not stop it: Use your socks, your lipstick, everything. And that's where they, the heroes, to donate blood patriot. But, of course, missing inputs, so the content of his blood will go to a few bottles of Coca-Cola. Nothing is missing from the iconography of patriotism warrior is more, this scene goes well beyond the cliché (plus lack of hygiene). There was no way to imagine something like this before witnessed, and why our eye is accustomed to the heroic worldview. But this ... this is really a lot, too.

reading What to do? "They fight like that because they have Coke in his veins? "" Drink Coca-Cola, made with the blood of our heroes? Are the values \u200b\u200bwe fight the heroes are the same as those representing the corporation?

Finally, look at the scene and share the outrage
