Why Do Brazilians Use Eggs On Birthdays

GENDER INEQUALITY

In general, it bothers me quite a lot when people directly ignores genre. I make noise ¨ No statements as I like action ", "I do not see music" or "science fiction bores me" .

not seem too reliable expressions like "I love horror" as if The Exorcist and The Game of Fear 9 were the same.

Most times I respond to this with phrases "to me so I do not like are bad movies" or "in general I like good movies, regardless of genre are ".

I do not care too much how come a film canister. Other things are what makes me like it or not.

Eye, I do not think it's wrong that people like this or that genre. This rejection of which I speak is definitely my problem. Is standard in the world that certain people like certain genres and discard others.

Beyond that I know of great movies that come in each of these sub-genres, it is entirely logical that people choose.

Also, now that I think of myself I act that way if we get to spin finer, entering the realm of sub genres and the "sub sub genres."

For example, speaking of science fiction ... I definitely prefer the alien invasion movies, type Invasion of the usurpers of bodies or extraterrestrial encounters as Close Encounters or ET , before movies robots, cyborgs or androids (unless we're talking about one of Terminator name). I also have more fun than the apocalyptic future the virtual reality. Mind you, if we talk about parallel worlds like Star Wars , buy almost without hesitation.

In terror, I am also able to separate the chaff from the wheat: I like pretty much everything that is "classic horror creatures" as Frankenstein or Dracula than anything that has to do with demonic possession. Polanski's psychological horror trouble me that much more explicit and sadistic thing The Game of Fear. The zombies was fun, but not ghosts. Slasher movies as I prefer to focus the the gore, etc.

The world of crime also can be categorized. I like movies of private detectives, but only if there is a femme fatale. If Barbara Stanwyck is better. The Mafia is also a fertile ground for film, may ask to Coppola. On the other hand, I like intelligence solely in the hands of masters like Hitchcock (International Intrigue ), but not James Bond wave. For police, I'll take a buddy movie of two very different cops, type Lethal Weapon. Not to mention films such as theft Fuego Contra Fuego or The Perfect Plan. And there are movies that focus on what comes after the theft: the persecution. Bullit and The Italian Job are great exponents. I hate to catch the bad guys and bring them to trial. Well, I love movies trials. Who could forget 12 Angry Men, Witness for the Prosecution or Question of Honor ? Still, I stay with what comes after the trial: the punishment. Nothing is more amazing than the movie in prison. In the Name of the Father , Papillon and unforgettable Dream of Freedom. And if a film of a prison escape, much better!

Comedy is another genre that can be divided into dozens of subgenres different: we action comedies such as Showtime , -black comedy Death Becomes Her , family comedies, horror comedies, parodies as The Naked Gun . A genre that I love are political satires as In The Loop , Bulworth or The Bob Roberts. I am fascinated by mockumentaries or false documentary by Christopher Guest (Waiting for Guffman , Best in Show, A Mighty Wind ). Those who do not like one bit are the comedies of remarriage, where a couple who lost Spark is wrapped in a adventure that will reawaken the love. Another very successful subgenre are comedies "bring it", where a grupete of puberty is to be sexually active. And since we are, we can talk about sex comedy, the screwball comedy or so fashionable in the 40s. And what about slapstick and physical humor, scatological comedies and many others ...

and romantic comedies are not all alike, eh? Somewhere I read a good categorization. Are those of opposites attract, as Bridget Jones or the popular girl with the nerd. A scheme to me love is to "fall in love but do not know" as in the brilliant Sleepless in Seattle or its close cousin 've Got Mail. And what about those in which a structured boy comes across a girl free good live for today, as in Mi Novia Polly or 500 days with her . Another that led to dozens of romantic comedies is the writer Jane Austen. The rejection from the start that leads to love in Pride and Prejudice is fixed: there are tens of Adapa of the novel, but also find the logic in or Runaway Bride 10 Things I Hate About You (which is actually a version of The Taming of the Shrew ). Other classics are good arguments to "know your in-laws" of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner or Family my girlfriend, or the "girl reporter writes an article" The Ugly Truth , How to lose a guy in 10 days , Shopaholic and many others.

The drama is also full of examples of all kinds, from addictions movies The Lost Weekend or When a man loves a woman , To biographies of people who succeed and then fall from grace, to finally reach a kind of redemption before he died. No matter if we talk about Ray Charles, Johnny Cash or whatever, these biographies usually respond to a very definite pattern. We also have dramas of all time: the English countryside, the Holocaust, the Depression-era. There is always room for drama. Even the family reunion comedy can quickly turn to tragedy if the situations lead to a genre and not another.

to the very Western, which could be reduced to "a guy with a hat above a horse ", can offer variants for all tastes: some people prefer the classic westerns of John Ford, while others lean towards the Spaghetti Westerns of Sergio Leone style. Apart from this differentiation, we can find biographies, westerns frontier, twilight westerns, historical epic of outlaws, shooters, herding cattle and many more.

In short, the film offers or alternative schemes to suit all tastes.

Would you like comedies? Very good! I have to offer an unparalleled range of any type or size, for the portfolio of the lady or gentleman's pocket ...

legend is printed! - RANGE

few of us do not believe that the Western is the genre par excellence. Iconography, the burden of symbolism and many other features make it the most fertile ground possible to illustrate a multitude of stories and universal themes. The boundary between good and evil, the coming of modernity to leave the past behind, the notion of justice, the search, redemption, the creation myth ng Etceteras and many more.

However, surprising as in recent decades the genre has been so abandoned. We are in a time when it is always easier reference crude, the mere mention or citation, that a greater understanding of the possibilities of the genre and the creation of works that take advantage of their wealth. Honoring, but properly. Thus, there are few examples of Westerns of recent decades that have hit the jackpot. After Peckinpah, Clint Eastwood might be Kevin Costner's best approached him. Every so often there are remakes ( The 3:10 am train to Yuma, or the great genre exercise with Coen True Grit) and we can see clear traces of Western in movies like Kill Bill Vol 2 and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada .

Beyond the recipes, nothing indicates that an animated film, absolutely crazy, which runs today and is featuring a chameleon, can not be a perfect western.

So we range, the first major surprise of the year. A film that, beyond its absurd humor, shows a great knowledge and love of film, achieving a flawless narration (very difficult to achieve with its constant changes of tone), with well-marked path of the hero.

References are many and of all kinds. What counts is the Leone Spaghetti Western with Eastwood, but we also have Ford, Hawks, Peckinpah, the appointed time. There are films from other genres also honored as Apocalypse Now and Panic and Madness in Las Vegas . The plot refers to Chinatown. In any case, references are provided and are fully functional used.

Beyond perfection in terms of animation, which attracts attention is the flawless design of creatures, thought to characterize and breathe life into the characters. With stunning designs, attention to detail and the voices of actors seriously, moles, birds, snakes and turtles become miners, farmers, gunmen and the elderly.

Another thing that overwhelms you is the picture perfect. Each level teaches us that the film is full of possibilities, there are thousands of ways to illustrate an event. Y in search range that we can achieve amazing results. Everything becomes clear when we learned that the consultant on the subject is the director of photography Roger Deakins.

I get critic of The Nation and continue listing items. Now it's up to the music. After the pomposity of Origin , Hans Zimmer's friend was rescued, and put together a soundtrack of unforgettable, along with Los Lobos, with a mariachi owls anticipate, like a Greek chorus, the fate of our hero.

In conclusion, we have noticed Range that I liked. And I did not even mention that Johnny Depp puts the main character's voice, or appearing Hunter Thompson, or that the scene across the highway crestfallen hero shook me like few times, not that ....

Is It Possible To Put Contacts In The Wrong Way?

BLACK SWAN: Of the films that do not help

Dear Readers: I guess

have noticed our absence in recent weeks ... I think the style of our blog clearly demonstrates that behind these cyber lines, two people, two friends (and many others that also work) who write with great commitment and passion but without further formalities. It is for this reason that personal problems may affect, as happened in this case, the continuity of our items.

The truth is that we do this because we like and we do well, so here we are, back.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who does good cinema in general and that can lend a hand at least in mood, from time to time.

not necessarily have to look a comedy to feel good and uplifting. All ... sometimes a bit of good cinema, creative, with a good story, with real beauty gives us that we needed to get back better.

Black Swan is NOT one of these films in my opinion.

not have to do with the fact that a (now so fashionable) psychological thriller, disturbing the style we are used to their Director Darren Aronofsky, but merely with the fact that there is an excellent movie as many expected .

This incredible display of actors, staging, months of preparation, choreography, music and more. failed to convey to even half of what I conveyed the fact that fighter mesh bag in tight lycra, the same director did with a lot less glitz.

When enjoying a movie, I care if the lead actress spent 11 months preparing and learning ballet or if it took 4 or 40 weeks to film, if the music was specially adapted feathers or ballerina costume was sewn by hand one by one ... I care if the movie that did not transmit anything.

Unfortunately, Black Swan makes me think of two options: either Aronofsky heartless formula repeated once served or perhaps "did too much", it became obvious. The tale of degradation and road to the main character's madness makes me lean towards the first option. Obvious resources to tell the story I suggest the latter.

On that last point, we could say it's hard not to fall into elements obvious when the story raises the path of the main character in a simple way: the duality in one person told through a piece of ballet tells of two antagonistic parties (again) the main character. A girl is shown from the start as perfect and unspoiled that must walk the path to its dark and evil side.

Either way, they could have used less obvious elements that pink and black, cut and the exaggerated mirror opposite rival, among other things ...

Again I say, do not need to feel good watching comedy movies. The Wrestler can achieve better a time in my life thanks to the story it tells, his way of telling and passion that is printed. I do not know nor do I care how much it cost them. I choose to Mickey Rourke in poor condition and that collagen before (and that is one of my favorites!) Is physically ready but overacted Natalie Portman. I choose the drama with a heart before the mambo psychological drama with no real passion.
