Many people who perform volunteer tasks take care of other beings in need, improving quality of life conditions in health, education, food, ecology ... that is, a volunteer working with organizations, institutions and administrations to carry out tasks of common welfare.
Tradicionalmente, encontramos otros colectivos que también participan en acciones solidarias. Hablamos de las mujeres y los padres hacia sus hijas/os, de familiares que atienden las enfermedades de sus componentes, de amistades, vecinos/as y compañeros/as que se regalan mutuamente favores, de abuelos/as que cuidan nietos/as, de hijos/as que haces los recados de sus padres y madres…
En muchas ocasiones se ha hablado de reivindicar a estas personas y se proponen muchas maneras de hacerlo:
* Se instituyen días de… de la madre, de la amistad, del padre…
* Se inauguran espacios públicos y privados para relevarles de estas tareas, tales como guarderías, hospitals, clinics, residencies, etc..
