Histeriqueando with Clint - GRAN TORINO

do not quite decide whether I liked this film or if I thought it was a real mess. So I left undecided Gran Torino, one of the last of the Great Clint Eastwood and the last (say) which appear on the big screen.

Usually when I go to a movie for the first time, came with an expectation, I leave the cinema with a particular sensation (I liked it or not, I enjoyed it or not, I think it's good or not so) but no definite and then some days I tell if I finish that first feeling is confirmed or not. Sometimes I decide to something but, seeing the film back, changed his mind. Fargo gave me something special: I saw it with high expectations when I see it finished completely convinced ... felt he had not complied with what I expected. However, I saw her back several times and today is one of my favorite movies. Gran Torino

saw when it opened in 2008 but still do not quite decide whether I liked or not.

In this movie, Clint Eastwood is a grumpy old man of Polish origin, Walt Kowalski, a former fighter of the Korean war and ardent supporter of the culture that established the wave of European immigration in the United States.

The old Walt has been almost alone in a neighborhood that originally was full of Polish immigrants, but today is composed of families who have arrived from all over the world mainly from Latin America and Asia. So, this man sits alone on the porch of their house traditional American flag flying and rifle in hand, to protect what little remains of its old traditions. Within this wave of immigrants comes a Hmong family moves into the neighborhood and right next to Walt's house, who seem to feel as if they were almost on purpose just to annoy him.

One day the old Walt discovers that one of the young next door is trying to steal their most precious asset: his Gran Torino. From this fact, both characters will be linked and the adult will try to advise the young in some aspects of life, especially as it unfolds in front of a live band heavy half threatening him and his family.

Through this short story, two worlds meet, exchange values, helping, learning, etc. A story a little obvious, as you can imagine ... And what I say if I tell you that you will see Clint with his pants octogenarian uploaded to the armpits, making great savior and having a couple of scenes really questionable cliches for a guy like him?

Part of my indecision about the movie, I think, lies at this point: Clint Eastwood. You always watch a movie with some kind of expectation. The minimum is to entertain you (I think that if a movie does not entertain you, in a broad sense, not worth it). Then there is what one brings to the film room to see it. While I am not a fan of westerns of Clint, I admire him for the films he has directed in recent times.

takes a little time watching a movie with some platitudes and elections somewhat exaggerated to tell a story that is not so great either. However, I must confess I feel most love to see this great film showing himself as a grumpy old man, hard and xenophobic but sympathizes with the suffering of others, willing to help and, incidentally, let the odd instruction to young people. Is there really a blunder or felt self-reference in all this? Sounds strange that it has accepted a project without conviction but also makes some noise and see a movie. On the other hand ... Clin Eastwood is standing there in front of a gang of hmnogs making the tough ... worth it.

But there is also something of all this cliché that I like more than Clint Eastwood. The film itself, I was entertained! When I left the cinema I felt that I had a good time, I had fun without thinking too much about all this that I mentioned above. Of course he had a sense of heresy movie fan because I knew the movie was not great, but in the most intimate feeling that I liked. After a while they saw it, I think back to all those faults and return to histeriquear with Clint and his choices for this film. And that was ... undecided.

Some will say that not worth asking so many questions for a movie. Of course not, but it drives me sleep if I'm not questioning so every movie, may not be writing this blog.
